A person may have an impractical or an outlandish idea which he or she may want to share. Another person may use this as a trigger to come up with a more practicable idea. Yet another person may take up the cue to further refine the idea into something quite useful for the society!

Or it is possible that a person has an idea but does not feel up to it to commercialize it himself. Using this forum, he may post his idea gratis or find like minded people to take up this idea on his behalf.

Many times an individual feels a necessity for an invention for a situation that is ragging him. If he shares his feeling here, it will most likely encourage another person to think for a solution and come up with an idea. The generation of the idea itself could be a gratification in itself or if there is potential, it could even be commercialised.
