The objective of the ICED is to encourage entrepreneurial culture in managers by giving initial impetus by way of teaching, advising, offering facilities and seed capital with a view to promoting new businesses and economic development. This programme seeks to create an awareness and enthusiasm amongst students to allow them to better contribute to, and participate in, the growth of the new knowledge-based economy and of the new companies operating in that sector.

All final year students and alumni of IBS^® who are interested in starting their own business, but were hesitating due to lack of funds or due to the risks involved, can now submit their business plans to ICED. If the Business Plan is found practical and suitable, you could get a chance to set up your own business, with all the advantages of one's own business with none of the associated risks.

The selected business teams can look forward to a host of valuable business startup resources that early stage companies need to succeed:

In short ICED would be the supporting hand that fortifies the early stage company to increase its chances of success in the real world.

Once the startup company reaches critical mass where it can sustain itself and is ready for the second stage of growth in operations, ICED will give first option to the promoters to take full charge of their company by buying out ICED's stake or venture capitalists may be invited to fund the second stage and ICED will exit.
